The UBT Higher Education Institute in Kosovo has invited all citizens to donate warm winter clothes for people in need. All you have to do is leave your coat in a clearly visible public place, for example tying it to a tree or lamppost.
The name of this initiate says it all: “Don’t need it? Donate it to someone who is cold”. We all have warm clothes we haven’t worn, or that the children have grown out of. However, finding a particular place or time slot where one can donate clothes can be time-consuming.
This is why UBT decided to make the processes as simple as possible. Find a lamppost or tree (not young ones that may be damaged) and “dress them” in your winter clothes. Chances are that the next time you pass them by, a person that needs them will have taken them.
In addition to that a public collection of clothes was also organized in Prishtina, on 20th December.
Think about it: a gift that doesn’t cost anything can make the holidays much better for people around you. If you don’t need it, give it to someone who does!
